These nutrient molecules transform these less harmful chemicals into water soluble substances that can be removed through your bile or urine. You can help the liver detoxification process by observing some dietary requirements. The first thing that you should do is avoid foods that contain toxins. This means any food that contains antibiotics, pesticides, or hormones. Instead of these foods, you should eat organic produce and some meat without any toxins. You should also avoid putting anything into your body that might speed up phase one of the liver detoxification process. If you speed up phase one of the detoxification process, you will increase the number of phase one metabolites and this will make your body more toxic. There are many phase one metabolites that can cause cancer. Among the things that can speed up phase one of the detoxification process are alcohol, cigarette smoke, coffee, recreational drugs, and some prescription medicine. You should also add a nutrient called flavonoid to your diet. This nutrient will allow phase two of the detoxification process to keep up with phase one. You want to do this because if phase two of the detoxification process slows down, this will result in more toxins in your body. You can find flavonoids in green and black tea, berries, parley, and citrus fruits. Phase two of the liver detoxification process requires a large supply of nutrients so you should consider adding more nutrient-rich food to your diet. Foods that are rich in nutrients include sulfur-containing foods and crucierous vegetables. Sulfur-containing foods include egg yolk, onions, and garlic. Crucierous vegetables are from the brassica family. They include cauliflower, brussel sprouts, argula, bok choy, horseradish, turnips, and collard greens.
